MEET : GEORGINA SOLOMON
Georgina combines all of her skills to explore the fashion industry over multiple creative platforms including styling, design, creative direction and photography. Her career has included working for iconic brands such as Sass & Bide, Urban Outfitters and Motel Rocks.
At a young age Georgina was inspired by her world travels, and flirted with fashion. This resulted in eventually opening a clothing store, Eve Boutique, at the age of 21. After years of retail, a love affair with style turned into a full-blown obsession with the launch of her brand LASSKAA. The label evolved from a wholesale footwear line, which sold exclusively to Solestruck, to a fashionable clothing collection, which launched in August 2014.
Georgina is currently working on the re-branding of LASSKAA and has created a fresh identity for herself called SSOL.CREATIVE to showcase all of her achievements.
Georgina’s work has been acknowledged and published across many medias. Whilst living in Bali, she was freelancing for Motel Rocks to create their fist ever footwear line. Whilst designing shoes she also produced a t-shirt line and assisted in a handbag collection. Georgina also engaged in styling the Motel Rocks seasonal campaigns and sourced imagery for their social media platforms.
In her spare time, she styled for creative collective Culture Machine, which influenced her to pursue photography and creative direction, which she was truly passionate about. Since then, her personal projects have been published via Sticks & Stones Agency, Clique Magazine and C-heads Magazine.
Reaching on two years of success, LASSKAA'S revised and expanded brand has been received with great accolades, with Georgina’s designs being shot on LA Model, and daughter of Sylvester Stallone & Jennifer Flavin, Sistine Stallone.
Georgina herself has been fortunate enough to photograph some successful models throughout her time – Mimi Elashiry, Sahara Ray, Natasha Elisa, and Inka Williams, to name a few.
Inspired by a unique and timeless style aesthetic, Georgina’s designs are androgynous in style tipping the scales into ladies wear with an edgy feminine twist. Her signature style is based off countless hours of people watching and gut intuition but also heavily influenced by an experienced marketplace and product knowledge background.
Georgina is currently based in Adelaide, after returning home from living interstate and abroad. Opportunities to challenge her creative mind and soul are always welcomed, and taken with firm intent. She works best alongside like minded individuals who influence and support her creativity. Georgina is all about positive thoughts and if the right opportunity came along for her to immerse herself into what she is really talented in, she would go for it without hesitation.
